This year, we have decided that for the parties to continue at this level, we need to safely house our crew, and make sure we have the equipment needed to bring it to you. When we stayed in hotel rooms, it was out of our own pockets. It is a radio show that throws parties every March.įor past events, our crews have either stayed with friends, or even driven back and forth from San Antonio to Austin each day to keep hotel costs lower. Music For Listeners is not a profit-making venture. To keep the costs lower for our venues, we have always left certain things out of the budget, and looked elsewhere for fill in those needs.

They have graciously given us a place for the parties once again, and we thank them for their generosity in keeping the budget pretty much the same as it was in 2020, when we had to pull the event. Like all businesses during the past two years, Lazarus is trying to recoup losses. We have always had great support from our venues, from The Red House Pizzeria, to Flat Top, El Sapo, and now Lazarus Brewing. This means more amazing talent, but it also means more costs into everything involved with throwing the parties. It is stacked, and once again features talent from all over the world! We even extended our parties, adding an extra day on Tuesday to get even more artists featured. We feel we have put together one of the best lineups that we have ever done. This includes sibling sports bars Haymaker and Black Sheep Lodge, brewery Hopsquad, and ping-pong bar Smash. Several Austin bars are planning on screening the World Cup while offering food and drink. And for soccer and/or general sports fans, there’s nothing better than watching the matches with rowdy fans, beers, and food.
